Class Description:

Join Zach Holyoak for a hands-on workshop where you'll learn to create a durable and functional swell bag for your saddle. Each student will receive a complete project kit. You’ll start with laying out the pattern, cutting out your leather pieces, and edging and burnishing the pieces for a polished finish. Zach will then give you time to personalize the front of the bag with your own tooling design, making it uniquely yours. Once the details are in place, you'll move on to constructing the bag, a straightforward process that adds value to any saddle maker’s offerings. This class is perfect for those looking to create a high-quality, custom add-on product in their saddle shop that’s both practical and quick to build, or for those of you looking for a handy saddle accessory for your next trail ride.  

Materials to Bring: Red board, #1 edger, ¾” point punch, dye pen, hole punch, glue, mallet, canvas with beeswax, notebook and pencil.
