Class Description:
You will be making a leather and Pendleton wool “Sling Bag” style purse in this workshop. This bag will have a front zipper pocket, main zippered compartment closure, and an interior zipper pocket. All will be fully lined with fabric and the interior edges will be finished with leather binding. An adjustable Herman Oak leather strap will complete the look. You will spend time learning to install zippers, install fabric liner, decrease seam bulk, install binding, and add structure to the wool. This will be a clean, well-constructed bag with a professional finish and no raw edges.
This is an intensive sewing and construction project. You will be using Cobra class 20 and 26 sewing machines.
Materials to Bring: Cutting mat, scissors, rotary cutter, small edger, 6”x24” (or smaller) clear quilter’s ruler, pencil, notebook, and sharpie.
